Your Physical Nature Upon Salvation

You did not lose your physical nature at the time of your spiritual birth. That is obvious as you are still alive and reading this post! lol

But now, you have two natures: Your old nature (physical, sinful, in Adam's likeness) and... Your new nature (spiritual, perfect, in God's image.)

Both of these natures are present constantly.
The one that controls you is the one you feed the most.

Colossians 3:5-10 says, "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."

So as a born again Christian, you need God's help to stop doing the things your old nature tempts you to do and submit to God and his will for you. It's a constant battle that will never let up. But Jesus already has the victory so just trust him
day by day, hour by hour, and even minute by minute when you need to.

"Feed faith, starve fear!" is one of my favourite expressions.
